The festive season is upon us, most of us will love to look “beat” and go extra mile with the makeup, here are some of my tips to kick your makeup game for party up a notch
Prep the Skin: Exfoliate, moisturise & use a primer that will ensure makeup last throughout the party. For oily skin, use a mattifying primer.
I use the milk of magnesia to mattify my T-zone as it works best and the Rimmel Fix & Perfect primer all over my face.
Base: A long-lasting, medium to full coverage foundation with little or no spf. It ensures makeup last throughout the party and no flash back when taking photographs (as high spf can cause ghostly or white cast when photographed especially with flash photography). I use the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation.
Highlight & Contour: to enhance the face features and it always look good in pictures
Cheek: add a pop of colour (blush) and highlight cheek bone.
Set the Face: to ensure the makeup last with an all over face setting powder &/or setting spray. I use the Black Opal Deluxe Finishing Powder & Makeup Revolution Fixing Spray
Eyes: Glitter and Smokey eyes always stand out. If you know me well, you know I love my glitters. Most common festive colours are Green, Silver, Gold & Red.
Lips: Go for bold, matte lip colours as it gives the impression that you have made a lot of effort without doing much. My favourite shades are Red, Wine & Berry. Matte lipsticks especially liquid lipsticks have long staying power and may be transfer proof, which is better when eating.
I hope my tips help someone as we prepare for the festive season ahead. Which of my tips do you find helpful, COMMENT below, LIKE and SHARE my post.
